August 2009:
STA is awarded a contract by ERC for liquid propulsion engineering support to the AFRL/ Edwards AFB, Engine Branch.

July 2009:
STA is awarded a contract by Wyle for the activation of the liquid rocket test facility and subsequent hot firing of a LOX/kerosene engine.

February 2009:
STA is selected to support AFRL for the Hydrocarbon Boost engine system and prebuner review.   

November 2008:
STA is awarded a contract by AFOSR for performing research on Novel Energetic Materials from New Polyazide Ingredients

June 2008:
STA is selected by AFRL for conceptual analysis and design of a liquid missile system using its innovative fast-response and deep throttle injector technology. 

April 2008:
STA selected to perform Chug analysis on an Ox-Rich, Staged Combustion Cycle Engine for AFRL. 

November 2007:
STA demonstrated 10:1 throttling of an innovative deep throttle injector for the Lunar Lander engine. Cold flow tests at Edwards AFB FlowLab demonstrated excellent mixing and atomization throughout the throttle range.

October 2007:
STA completed a major milestone in the  analysis and design of a commercial rocket test facility for Wyle Labs.

July 2007:
STA is selected by AFOSR for a Phase II STTR to continue research on Non-Toxic alternatives to AP.

January 2007:
STA announced the release of its latest excel add-in function titled "XODE". One Dimensional Equilibrium for eXcel returns Cstar and Isp (at varying nozzle conditions) for various propellants and operating conditions in liquid rocket engines.

December 2006:
STA has launched its first commercial product titled "XProp2". Propellant Properties of many popular rocket propellants and pressurization gasses may be called from an eXcel function add-in.

November 2006:
STA is selected by NASA to perform research on its Deep Throttleable, High Performance Injector Concept for the Exploration System Program.

July 2006:
STA is selected by AFOSR to perform research on Non-Toxic alternatives to AP.

June 2006:
STA is selected by AFOSR to perform Combustion Instability Research in Liquid Rocket engines.

January 2006:
STA has moved its operations to a new facility in Moorpark, CA. It is conveniently located off the 118 and 23 freeways at the "Moorpark Technology Corridor".

10.03.05:
STA received a letter of intent from Air Force for the award of the HLV S&A PRDA. The procurement was reopened in response to a protest.

09.16.05:
STA received a favorable review by DCAA for it's cost structure and proposed rates. According to STA CFO, Lisa Ohanian, “This is yet another key milestone for STA to establish cost accounting and structure credibility in such short time.”

08.15.05:
STA received an intent by AFOSR to award a Phase II STTR. According to STA CEO, Tedi Ohanian, “We are very pleased to be selected for award. Polynitrogen and nitrogen-rich compounds are interesting candidates for advanced propellants, explosives and gas generators. We are very excited to work with Dr. Christe on this project.”

08.01.05:
STA received a favorable review by DCAA for it’s cost accounting system. According to STA CFO, Lisa Ohanian, “We are very pleased with the outcome of this milestone. We have demonstrated the capability to manage cost-plus type contracts for the Government. Our team of experts at ProCAS worked closely with us to make this a success.”
